This is our take on what is sometimes called “video skinning” – adding a surround to a video to enhance its appearance and feel.
The advantage of this approach is that it leaves the video in its native hosting environment (eg YouTube, Vimeo) and thereby leverages the speed of those delivery channels.
A secondary benefit is that the advertisements from those channels do not carry forward – so the video is shown, uninterrupted and as the author originally created.
